FRIS wins the SPITS innovation award 2009!
The research portal makes part of a larger concept, the FRIS programme (Flanders Research Information Space). FRIS stands for a simple, transparent and open space for information about research and innovation in Flanders. All information is generated from the business processes, respecting all interests of the stakeholders. To guide this complexe process, programme management is used. This is a win/win situation for everyone, without extra administrative burden.
The FRIS concept was clearly appreciated because the programme was one of the three winning projects of the prestigious SPITS innovation award 2009, given by the Flemish government.
This reward is an important incentive to continue the programme on the same way and extend the content with information about equipment and publications. It will also be possible to browse through the data from a different view by competency diagrammes and visualisation of collaboration relations. This way you can trace knowledge networks concerning scientific fields. A renewed version of the research portal will appear on line soon.
