HISSTAT development of a central database of statistics from the 19th and 20th century available at a local level

the proposal aims at the development of a central database for historical statistics in Flanders and Belgium which are available down to the level of the municipalities since 1795. The intention of the database is to protect and exploit the rich patrimonium of historic statistics of Flanders and Belgium, and to offer access to the public and a number of various applications. The central database is equipped with an informationsystem that enables the treatment of digital statistics en de development of historic charts.
