Quality Assurance for Large Manual Assembly (QULAMA_ICON) (QULAMA)

Given the importance of delivering high-quality products, the Flemish manufacturing industry is looking for new approaches that provide fast feedback loops. Because of this, acquiring quality data for large assemblies is a challenge to overcome. Making camera systems mobile via operator interaction can be a gamechanger. Sufficient detail will be required locally, while having to monitor the large volume of a big assembly product.

In this project, manufacturing companies, hardware and software technology providers and service providers will join forces to realize inline quality monitoring for IoT-enabled assembly systems. Mobile camera systems verifying the correct assembly of large products will be a flexible solution to assist operators in delivering high quality work.
