The Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine promotes and supports research within its divisions of Endocrinology, Gerontology and Geriatrics, Thoracic Surgery, Gastroenterology, Pneumology, and Hepatology. The department’s research aims to achieve a better understanding of human diseases and to discover better detection methods and treatments for disorders of the organ systems being studied.
