Project

Survey on Language Competences in Flanders.

This project comprises the execution of the European Survey on Language Competences (ESLC) in Flanders. This survey is carried out by order of the European Commission and aims to provide member states with comparable data on foreign language competence (reading, writing and listening) in the two most widely taught official European languages (choosing from English, French, German, Italian and Spanish). In Flanders, research standards determined that a representative sample of pupils in their second year of lower secondary education will take part for French, and that pupils in their fourth year of lower secondary education will be tested for English.
