Movement and Dance

The research unit BEDA develops mainly body movement research with young children. Perception of the body, space and rhythm education are fundamental elements of the psychomotor functioning. The principle objective is to give modes of perceiving oneself and the others in the environment to learn to be conscious of the own body through exercise and specific adapted movements. Furthermore, research of BEDA aims at adapting elements of psychomotor development to programmes in primary school and to use cognitive learning in movement.
