Lean Duplex Stainless Steel for Urban and Industrial Waste Water (DUPLEXWASTE)

The project is dedicated to evaluating the application of lean duplex stainless steel materials for urban and industrial wastewater. Issues concerning different types of corrosion in wastewater units will be investigated by means of laboratory and field exposures. A life cycle cost assessment will be performed to assess the environmental impact of the steel types. The results will enbale to establish engineering diagrams and guidelines for material selection in urban and industrial wastewater units. The project will considerably increase the market share of lean duplex stainless steels for wastewater treatment units.
