Flanders Bioinformatics Infrastructure for Sustainable Agriculture and better Health Society (R-8371)

There is an urgent need for multidisciplinary repositories combining (para)-clinical parameters on different levels together with individualized information like immunological and genetic profiles to investigate multidisciplinary research questions combining multiple parameters. The overall aim of MSDataConnect is building a sustainable IT platform that can be used as a proof-of-concept to build multidisciplinary data repositories that combine knowledge on chronic diseases from specialists, researchers and patients. The first step towards this goal is constructing a cross-data infrastructure for people with multiple sclerosis in Limburg. The construction of this data repository is establish by 1° defining the management plan and quality control; 2° Building a pilot of the IT platform/data infrastructure. Within 12 months, the data infrastructure will be ready for internal use.
