12.01 External service providers and school guidance: Interrelation, alignment, and explanatory variables.

This study examines the increase of school-external service provision, its desirability, and explanatory factors from perspectives regarding comprehensive student guidance, medicalization of clinical care, and unequal opportunities of social groups. In a survey study amongst parents, care providers in schools and pupil guidance centers, we investigate school-external service provision, predictors at student, family, and school level, and alignment with care provision in schools. Respondent are selected from 248 schools that participated in a study on care in schools. Respondents are selected from 248 schools that participated in a study on care in schools. Additionally, focus groups are organized to gain more insight into different actors motives for referral and perceived desirability of school-external service provision.
