Fast global illumination in participating media using quantum field theory

One main challenge of the field is rendering photorealistic images. Global illumination algorithms try to achieve this by solving the physical equations that describe light transport. This enables the creation of physically accurate, photorealistic images, which to the human observer can look as real as photographs. We will for the rst time ever be able to drastically cut down on the time it takes for a computer to produce a realistic image of all the dicult scenes that we mentioned!
