Multimodal image processing and data management platform

The increasing personalized treatment of cancer requires more sophisticated diagnosis and treatment follow-up. Newly introduced (pre)clinical imaging techniques including (whole body) diffusion-weighted MRI and simultaneous PET/MRI have the requirements for this task. However, before being introduced in clinical routine, these techniques need to be validated in correlation to histopathology, patient survival and gene signatures as well as allow efficient processing of the multitude of generated imaging data. The Multimodal image processing and data management platform will allow the researchers to perform fast analysis of the multimodal imaging data, to standardize the workflow and data transfer between clinical and preclinical research (translational), to correlate imaging data with digitalized histopathology and to better support the research towards new treatment modalities.
