Project

Improving cognition in people with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis: A Multi-Arm, Ran-domized, Blinded, Sham-Controlled Trial of Cognitive Rehabilitation and Aerobic Exercise (CogEx). (R-9099)

A grant has been received for a multicenter study with a collaboration between 11 different centers distributed around the world, including Belgium, Denmark, the UK, Italy, Canada and the USA. The broad aim of this project is to evaluate a multidisciplinary and multi-modal approach of rehabilitation in 360 people with primary or secondary progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Cognitive rehabilitation and aerobic exercise will be evaluated individually and in combination to determine whether both programs are effective treatments for cognitive dysfunction and whether they have a synergistic effect when combined in people with progressive MS.
