Project

Towards more Resilient and Efficient LPWANs

I will be conducting research at the boundary of software engineering and networking for the Internet of Things. This may include, but is not limited to: 1. Exploring cryptographic frequency hopping techniques in the LoRa protocol in order to reduce contention, improve fairness and mitigate the threat of selective jamming Identifying vulnerabilities in contemporary IoT network protocols. 2. Mitigating vulnerabilities in IoT protocols through the development of new security and communication modules. 3. Improving the reliability, robustness and fairness of IoT network protocols. 4. Designing, developing and evaluating new DevOps tools and techniques for large scale IoT systems.
