The characteristics of the language pathways differ with age in simultaneous bilingual and interpreters: DTI study

Book Contribution - Book Chapter Conference Contribution

Our previous study had shown that the fractional anisotropy of the some white matter pathways is different between monolingual children and two groups of bilinguals (1). In this study we compared bilingual adults with interpreters and investigated the age and the duration of interpreting effect on the fibers properties. 7 bundles were tracked (IFOF, AF/SLF, orbital, primary motor cortex (PMC), temporal, mid-posterior, posterior)
