Short term changes in "Radiomic" features predict long-term treatment effectiveness (R-10209)

Importance: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an incurable, chronic and progressive disorder. There are several drugs on the market today that can greatly delay the course of the disease. Nevertheless, the search for the right medicine for an individual person with MS remains a trial and error process. We urgently need methods to be able to quickly assess whether someone is responding to a particular medication or not. Method: By using an innovative method to analyze MRI images, called "radiomics", we strive to be able to estimate the effect of treatments quickly. We believe that short-term changes predict the effectiveness of treatments for MS in the long-term. To investigate this hypothesis, we formulate 2 major objectives: 1. Creating an MRI database connected to clinical data 2. Studying the relevance of radiomics for MS
