Trans Tech Diagnostics (R-6734)

TransTech Diagnostics focuses on the development of diagnostic methods for cardiovascular diseases that are widely used in medical care and don't entail high costs. It is working on the challenge and question of how we can come to a translation of technical knowledge and skills to practical efforts and tangible results (transition and development of products). To succeed in this approach, we use a cross-sectoral approach and focuses TTD on collaboration with eye for input from the market and private partners from the border region (demand-driven cooperation). Within TTD, the partners (and partners-light) jointly aim to 1) entrench the current R & D status of knowledge and expertise and strengthen through to develop the expansion of research infrastructure and 2) to evolve to a concrete contribution in the health sector through the ensuring biomedical engineering validation and translation of selected methods that use high end (expensive and complex) technological platforms to Demonstrator (test set) of convenient, rapid and accurate test kits. Given the high standard of medical and technological scientific knowledge and technological innovation in the public and private actors in the border region, the existing platform TTL and UHasselt-VITO, strong hands-on experience and expertise of TSG and the broad-based and well-maintained networks of the partners (cooperation with DSP Valley, LIOF, LRM, BOM, OMC, Bright Lands), we are confident of a quick start and efficient implementation of the project with sufficient opportunities for all actors and audiences involved.
