Aspects of reduction and symmetry in geometric mechanics

The term Geometric Mechanics refers to the application of methods and results from differential geometry to the study of classical mechanical systems. In this project we investigate, within the context of geometric mechanics, aspects of symmetries for Lagrangian and nonholonomic mechanical systems.
