Teaching Conceptual Modelling: How Can I Improve?

Book Contribution - Book Chapter Conference Contribution

© Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2018. CM fosters a good understanding of the problem domain, which is a key factor of IS development success. Conceptual modelers require a wide variety of skills involving “simple” skills, such as the ability to remember a modelling notation, and “complex” skills, such as the ability to translate a text description into a representative conceptual model. In order to build the “complex” skills, the educator must ensure the proper acquisition and integration of simpler skills by means of continuous support and timely feedback [1].
