Development of signal processing tools for vibroacoustic diagnostics and prognostics

The research will focus on the development and application of advanced signal processing tools focusing on the early, accurate and robust fault detection/diagnosis/prognosis in rotating machinery including components such as gears, bearings and blades. Model based and data driven methods will be combined in a hybrid approach targeting towards the exploitation of any existing information. The methodologies will be applied, verified and validated on simulated and experimental data captured over dedicated test rigs.
