Novel treatment for blackhead disease in turkeys (POULTRY)

Histomonosis or blackhead disease represents a high unmet economic burden for the poultry industry (turkey and chicken). It is caused by the protozoan parasite Histomonas meleagradis. In the absence of preventive and therapeutic options for this disease, the current proposal aims to identify new drug candidates for this unmet need in veterinary medicine.
