A comprehensive modelling approach for reliability analysis of composite pressure vessels

This research is part of the OptiVas project. The main objective is to develop a comprehensive modelling approach for the reliability analysis of a composite pressure vessel (CPV) based on manufacturing and burst testing simulations, augmented with non-deterministic analyses. Where possible, correlation analysis between the experimental burst tests and this model is performed using results from OptiVas. A final objective consists of studying the predictive quality of the developed models for estimating the margin of safety and to analyse how the methodology can assist in designing safe and robust CPVs. The latter includes the objective to provide the manufacturing process with feedback in terms of the sensitivities as functions of the different influence factors.
