An integrated metabolomics approach to unravel the pathophysiology of early feline chronic kidney disease.

This proposal exploits the analytical power of integrated metabolomics, in silico analysis of multiparametric datasets, and carefully curated prospective clinical cohorts to: (i) better understand CKD pathogenesis in all felids; and (ii) discover new therapeutic targets. These data will pave the way for new early interventions to treat renal failure and provide insights into aetiological factors.
