Ultra-permeable Macrocycle-based Membranes: Design, Fabrication and Application

Isoporous membranes (IMs) have great potential in achieving high precision separation of molecules such as proteins or antibodies of high biomedical values. However, fabrication techniques for isoporous structures with customized pore size are not mature and usually expensive, and sole function of size exclusion still limits the application of IMs. To overcome these obstacles, this project aims to develop a new class of smart ultrafiltration IMs via facile fabrication methods and a unique integration of stimuli-responsive supramolecular-based materials.
