Project

Unravelling the mechanisms of chromosomal instability during early embryogenesis.

The overall aim of this thesis is to understand the mutational processes occurring during early embryonic development. We aim to uncover the incidence of those mutational processes in normal and abnormal cleaving embryos. We have shown that bovine and human embryos bear similar signatures of aneuploidy. Hence, in the framework of this project, we will use bovine as an animal model to study mutational processes in embryos.
