VIONA Who chooses dual learning? (VIONA)

Given the importance of dual learning, the way in which dual learning is anchored in Flanders, the limited intake and the lack of clarity about how students choose a course of study, this project defines the following research questions:

1. Which factors does the scientific literature indicate as determining the choice of study in secondary education?
2. How does the decision-making process of Flemish students proceed with regard to their choice of study and which (f)actors influence this? What is the role of parents, peers, teachers, school directors, class councils, the education councilors, time of decision, familiarity and image of dual learning, attractiveness and coverage?
3. Can offering information about dual learning influence the choice process?
4. How can dual learning become a conscious choice for more young people by making use of behavioral insights?
