Event Data Analytics: Developing an interactive framework to facilitate the exploration of multidimensional, linked event data (R-11532)

Event data has become more widely available and can provide a different type of insights than traditional rectangular data. The ability to learn behavioural patterns is what makes event data so interesting. Behaviour, however, is a high-level abstract concept that consists of many attributes and properties, while events are the raw observation of behaviour and very hard to interpret in their raw form. Traditional analysis techniques are therefore not always appropriate to extract these insights from this kind of low-level, fine-grained data. The goal of this research project is to create an interactive framework that facilitates an easy exploration of behavioural patterns and insights in event data.
