Measuring Thermal Conductivity in a Microfluidic Device with the Transient Thermal Offset (TTO) Method

Book Contribution - Book Chapter Conference Contribution

In this work, a sensor device is presented that enables thermal conductivity measurements on fluids inside a microfluidic channel. The working is demonstrated by performing measurements on different water/ethanol mixtures. The used Transient Thermal Offset (TTO) method allows for a simple fabrication and straightforward data analysis. With the presented sensor, rapid single measurements, as well as real-time (bio)sensing applications are achievable.
