The development of a BelRAI GGZ core instrument and modules of the BelRAI GGZ instruments, for use in Flemish specialized GGZ (EF 75)

The first objective of this study consists of the development of a BelRAI GGZ core instrument for use in Flemish specialized mental health care (care levels 2a and 2b of the Mental Health Decree), for persons with mild, moderate and severe mental illness. The instrument is being developed in coordination with the various subsectors of specialist mental healthcare.

The BelRAI GGZ core instrument must make clear which modules of the entire BelRAI GGZ instruments must be completed in order to adequately identify the care needs of the client concerned. The division of the BelRAI GGZ instruments into modules is the second objective of this study.

The third objective of the study is twofold:

• the revision of the BelRAI GGZ supplements that were tested for the first time during the second BelRAI GGZ study and the BelRAI-DUNDRUM forensic GGZ pilot study. These supplements will each also form one (or more) module (s) of the BelRAI GGZ instruments, in addition to the other modules that will consist of items from the BelRAI Mental Health and / or BelRAI Community Mental Health;
• the revision of the existing manuals of all parts of the BelRAI GGZ instruments (see Figure 1) so that they become more user-friendly for the care providers and are divided according to the modules of the BelRAI GGZ instruments. The manual of the BelRAI Social Recovery Supplement has yet to be compiled for the first time.
