Project

Development and validation of a thin-film-transistor platform for bidirectional high-density brain interfacing.

Electrocorticography (ECoG) currently relies on passive electrode arrays with low resolution and low spatial coverage. These devices provide under-sampled data on limited brain areas. Using thin-film technologies, it is possible to create active arrays on flexible substrates, thus developing highly conformable, high-density electrode arrays which can provide improved data of the cortical areas of the brain.
