Researcher

Niccolò Cantini

  • Research Expertise:I completed a Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry at the University of Florence, where I researched the development of small molecules as inhibitors of the human neutrophil elastases (HNE). Since completing my Ph.D. in new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, I have been working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry in Antwerp, Belgium. In the past year, I have been involved in two different projects: one researching serine protease inhibitors, and the other the development of molecules aimed at reducing bacterial resistance to antibiotics.
