Homelessness among young adults

International studies point to the increase in homelesness among young adults.  For Belgium there are no official statistics available to map the size and profile characteristics of the population of homeless people.  The recent counts in a number of Belgian cities and regions indicate the presence of young adults.  This unique database contains a lot of information that makes it possible to map their profile characteristics.  But behind these numbers are unique young adults, each with their own story.

The aim of this project is twofold:

1. A quantitative analysis of the database to map the profile characteristics of the homeless and young adults

2. A qualitative deepening of the experiences of homeless young adults, with special attention to their trajectory and the solutions they propose.
