Causal inference in observational HIV/AIDS studies.

The randomized controlled trial is the gold standard to evaluate the effectiveness of health-related programs (interventions), but often not feasible or too limiting. There is therefore a demand for causal inference based on observational studies. Motivated by HIV research, this study aims to develop methodological techniques for health practitioners who aim to estimate causal effects based on observational data.
