PARSIFAL: Pandemic Actions, Responses, Social Impacts for Future Adaptive Learning

PARSIFAL addresses behavioural, social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak comparing outbreak responses across Europe and
impacts on human behaviour and social dynamics, mental health and health inequalities. PARSIFAL aims to inform the development of a holistic
response and adaptation to ongoing and future public health crises consequent of the COVID 19 pandemic. PARSIFAL utilises its multidisciplinary
consortium, established and extensive COVID 19 data bases; completed COVID 19 research; previous funded successful mental
health related interventions and an extensive and far reaching sectoral network, particularly as this relates to front line workers and older adults to
inform a cutting edge 360 degree analysis of policy impacts/ responses referenced to success, issues of inequality, resilience and the future of
public health messaging for such issues as vaccine uptake. PARSIFAL also will also conduct surveys and analysis of the views, sentiment and
experience of stakeholders, communities and individuals, utilising ICT expertise in handling ‘big’ data analysis of public sentiment. This analysis
will be referenced to the concept of policy ‘success’ and balance of values when preserving public health (particularly mental), economic health
and the rights of individuals during the current and future public health challenges. Objectives include
1 Analyse range, outcomes and success of policy actions on societal/social dynamics, behaviours, work and well-being
2 Comparatively analyse inequality relating to gender, age, social status, ethnic minorities referenced to work education, mental health; fatigue;
behaviour and social dynamics
3 Assess critical technologies infrastructure referenced to societal resilience and recovery
4 Deliver a framework of policy recommendations and interventions (health, economic, social and person centred), to facilitate flexible, adaptive
societal, work, health and infrastructure resilience
