Victims on the Job: A Criminal Event Perspective on the Dynamics Underlying Physical Violence Against Police Officers

In this study, I use a Criminal Event Perspective to establish the underlying dynamics of physical violence against police officers. To explain this phenomenon, I integrate the interplay between individual characteristics, contextual factors, and their combined impact, with a network approach to include the extent to which physical violence is transmitted within professional social networks.
