Antwerp Electrochemical and Analytical Sciences Lab (A-Sense Lab)

Research Group

Lifecycle:1 Sep 2021 →  Today
Organisation profile:The A-Sense Lab aims to strengthen the identity of the research group of professor Karolien De Wael which is active in different fields of electrochemical and analytical sciences. It performs fundamental, methodological and application-oriented research involving a wide range of analytical techniques with a focus on the chemical analysis or electrochemical sensing of one or multiple analyte species. Our strategic vision aims at a portfolio of sensor & analysis technologies, based on novel fundamental concepts, that can be applied in different markets/sectors embracing the idea of responsible research, sustainability and innovation. Many of our projects are interdisciplinary in nature and involve collaboration with scientists in different fields. We focus on bridging the gap between the academic world, industry and society and are open for collaboration. A-Sense Lab is member of the IOF-ENVIROMICS consortium and NANOlab Center of Excellence.
