Project
Remodelling the stressed brain: a transcranial Direct Current Stimulation approach.
The project aims to investigate the working mechanisms of tDCS and reveal its potential as a treatment modality for depression and stress-related disorders. It evaluates the effects of tDCS on an important biomarker of depression (stress/cortisol), as well as a cognitive function closely related to depression (future thinking); this taking a wide-angled approach and combining neuroimaging methods with behavioural outcomes.
