48th IAH (International Association of Hydrogeologists) Congress - IAH 2021 - Inspiring Groundwater (CONO722)
The conference is the 48th IAH congress. The IAH is the International Association of
Hydrogeologists, a scientific and educational charitable organisation for scientists,
engineers, water managers and other professionals working in the fields of groundwater
resource planning, management and protection. Founded in 1956, it has grown to a worldwide membership of more than 4000 individuals. Our mission is to further the
understanding, wise use and protection of groundwater resources throughout the world.
The annual conference aims to bring together researchers, industry, regulators, contractors,
consultants, planners and water supply agencies from all over the world to meet and share
knowledge on groundwater. Apart from scientific sessions, hydrogeological excursions are
offered and side-meetings of IAH (including its annual General Assembly) and its different
networks and commissions will take place in Brussels. In this way, the 48th IAH Congress
will encourage scientific debate about groundwater, stimulate dissemination of knowlegde
on groundwater and extend formal and informal networks between groundwater scientists
and professionals.
