Sabbatical Tom Beckers: Learning and memory in psychopathology

I plan to use my sabbatical for the following activities:
- Writing a review article related to our ongoing C1 project, on the role of extinction, avoidance and generalization in the transition from normal fear to psychopathology;
- Writing a review article related to my expiring ERC project, about the
possible application of principles of reconsolidation for the treatment of anxiety and other psychological complaints;
- Elaboration and possible start-up of a possible research project in collaboration with Prof. dr. Dominik Bach (University College London), on benchmarking in human fear conditioning;
- Preparatory reading and thinking for a new research application following my expiring ERC grant.
