Cooperation agreement between the city council of Ghent and UGent 2020-2025: Transition to fossil-free neighborhoods with the Muide-Meulestede + Mariakerke (MM+M) neighborhoods fossil-free as pilots

The City of Ghent wishes to draw up a transition plan for the Muide-Meulestede and Mariakerke (MM+M) districts and to roll it out in the coming years. Ghent University will help shape parts of this transition plan and will organize interdisciplinary research for this.

The collaboration between the City of Ghent and Ghent University focuses on developing a methodology to be able to take the step from a technical energy study to implementation in MM+M. The collaboration also focuses on test projects to map the implementation impact of certain methodologies and techniques.
