Project

Molecular Machines that communicate through Chemical Signaling (MM-CS).

This proposal aims to develop integrated molecular machines that communicate through chemical signaling as basis for molecular computing, information storage, sensors and autonomously moving actuators. To achieve this goal, supramolecular covalent hydrogels will be designed and developed, by a synergistic modeling and experimental approach, to enable release of chemical signals as well as molecular muscle action through contraction or expansion.
