Hospice care in the residential care center

People in the last phase of life often prefer to die in a familiar environment. When a person prefers not to die in hospital and dying at home is not possible or desirable, hospice care in a residential care center nearby offers a valuable alternative. However, the advantages and possible disadvantages of this have not yet been studied empirically. The aim of this research is to map the first experiences of healthcare professionals, clients and their families with regard to Hospice Care.
