Project

Deep immune-phenotyping of multiple sclerosis patients using advanced spectral flow cytometry (R-12457)

In this application, eleven Principal Investigators at BIOMED, Hasselt University, are joining forces to acquire a Cytek Aurora 4 laser spectral flow cytometerand Curioxlaminar wash device. With the growth in the field, and the new (rare) cell types being discovered on a regular basis, the institute is in dire need for high-tech instruments to keep up with the international state of the art in MS research. Using these devices, this consortium will perform deep immune-phenotyping of our well-defined MS cohort, recruited through the University MS Center (UMSC) and University Biobank Limburg (UBiLim).
