Computational simulation of brain development

Brain development is a complex process. Computational models are needed to understand this process. In this project, we are going to investigate brain development based on adaptive rewiring algorithm. Specifically, three aspects will be studied: synaptic plasticity, programmed cell death, and inhibitory neural signaling. We hope the results of this project will imply the effects of these aspects on brain development. In addition, we expect adaptive rewiring algorithm will become more versatile after this investigation.
