Music signal processing for the analysis of therapeutic music-based interventions

In this PhD project, fundamental and applied research on music feature extraction, source separation, and statistical analysis of music performances will be carried out. The main scope and application area will be the analysis of group improvisation recordings acquired in a music therapy context. Throughout the PhD project, an intense collaboration with the Music Therapy research group at the LUCA School of Arts will be pursued, with a focus on music-based interventions for patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
