Preserving oligodendrocyte precursor cells (R-12676)

In this project, we will investigate the role of the amino acid transporters in oligodendrocyte precursor cell (OPC) differentiation and myelination in vitro (1) and in vivo (2). The ultimate goal of the complete project is to develop a drug-like compound (3) that will delay the transition to pMS by sustaining remyelination capacity. The lack of pMS therapeutics and therefore the urgent need to prevent progression, provides great valorisation opportunities for the proposed therapeutic intervention
