PREMEO Trial : Towards PREcision MEdicine for Osteoarthritis: added value of cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (FWOTBM6)

The primary scientific objective of the study is to assess if cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia integrated in best-evidence usual care, consisting of education and exercise therapy,(CBTi-UC) is more effective than usual care (UC), i.e. education and exercise therapy, only, at 6 months follow-up in reducing pain in KOA patients with comorbid insomnia.
• Secondary objectives of the study are to examine if CBTi-UC is more effective than UC at 6 months follow-up in improving pain- and sleep-related outcomes, physical activity/function and inflammation.
• A final objective entails examining if CBTi-US is more cost-effective than UC in KOA patients with comorbid insomnia.
