Analysing the institutional challenges for wastewater use in the agricultural sector in developing countries

Wastewater use in agriculture is appealing and growing as an alternative to deal with increasing pressure on water resources and water scarcity. However, few countries have guidelines or policies related to irrigation with wastewater. This research evaluates how this gap between the current practices and their integration in policies might hamper the potential benefits of wastewater irrigation.
