Consumers' attitude and behaviour toward food safety in China

This doctoral research is to investigate Chinese consumers’

decision-making process towards safe food, risk perception of food-related hazards and trust in

information sources, information influence on consumer behavior and consumers’ knowledge

about food nutrition and food nutrition label. It is a unique study that provides a comprehensive

understanding about Chinese consumers’ attitude and behaviour toward food safety. This study

will allow the formulation of policy implications for the development of food risk communication,

food market strategy and public health education in China.
