Late Holocene sediment dynamics in North-Ethiopian gully systems and their alluvial and lacustrine fans - dating, modeling, and determination of controlling factors and paleoenvironmental information

In several North Ethiopian gully systems, sediment samples will be gathered for laboratory analysis (dating and extraction of paleoenvironmental data). Secondly, lake-sediment cores will be extracted at gully debris fans in Lake Ashenge. Thirdly, more recent sediments in debris fans will be examined by similar methodology. Finally, contemporary sediment dynamics will be examined by similar methodology. Finally, contemporary sediment dynamics will be examined byintensive study of a few control gullies.
