Biocaramel: next generation caramel (Biocaramel)

The main objective of this application is to establish the industrial added value of the biocaramels in comparison to the existing industrial caramels. This means being able to independently perform the necessary various analysis techniques in-house in UGent labs for in-depth and extensive characterization of the biocaramels. The results of this are crucial for the patent application and the results obtained will strengthen the negotiating position of the applicant. Negotiations are ongoing with both caramel producers and large caramel users.
